It was designed by renowned architect Philip Shutze and completed in 1941 as the home of the Medical Association of Atlanta, then the Fulton County Medical Society.  The Academy, nearly 60 years old, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places due to its beautiful composition and neoclassic architecture.

Atlanta’s Academy of Medicine is available for weddings, receptions, corporate meetings and events, community lectures or seminars, concerts, and social gatherings for use year round.
